The Janson Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies on donations from businesses, organizations and individuals to support the maintenance and upkeep of the park and to support those in need through its Helping Hands program. Donations can be earmarked for the new playground, general maintenance and upkeep of the park or Helping Hands.
The Janson Foundation’s mission includes serving those in need, especially senior citizens and children. The foundation makes donations to worthy organizations and projects in Columbia and also provides direct support to individuals based on demonstrated need. In addition, the foundation holds a spaghetti dinner each January and invites all who are in need of a nutritious meal and friendship.
